P.E. KIT
Black shorts (not cycling or stretch) and white T-shirt or white polo shirt, and black pumps (not trainers) are required for games and P.E. together with a drawstring bag to hang the P.E. kit up in.
In Key Stage 2, children will need boots / strong trainers for field games. Tracksuits may be worn for outdoor games in cold weather. Girls wearing tights should have socks in their P.E. bags for wearing with pumps.
For swimming, girls will need a one-piece swimsuit and boys a pair of trunks.
The school provides netball and football strips for matches.
You will appreciate that it is important for the children to be as independent as possible in dressing themselves.
JEWELLERY
If watches are worn for school they must be removed for P.E. but remain in the care of the child.
For safety reasons, if earrings MUST be worn at school, they should be studs rather than loops or dangling ones. Even studs may be hazardous and the school cannot take responsibility for injuries incurred as a result of wearing them. Neither will any member of staff remove/replace nor look after earrings for a child. If your child has earrings in, these should be covered with a plaster on the days when your child is having P.E. lessons, or preferably removed completely before arriving at school.
ART AND CRAFT ACTIVITIES
An overall that covers the child from neck to knee and down the arm to the wrists is essential. An old shirt worn back to front, with the collar removed and the neck and wrists elasticised would be ideal.
