School Uniform Policy

We are very proud of our children and we encourage them to take a pride in their own appearance.

We insist on conformity of uniform as this evokes a feeling of belonging and community. This in turn reflects on positive behaviour, attitude and respect.

Pupils must attend school wearing school uniform.

Girls:

Compulsory Items:

Red V neck sweatshirts or cardigans with school logo
White polo shirts (not the traditional button through cotton shirts)
Mid grey skirts, pinafore dresses or trousers
Red checked dresses may be worn in summer
White/grey/black knee length or ankle socks NO trainer socks
Red, grey or black tights
Suitable black shoes (no trainers)
High vis jacket
Hair ties – plain red, black or checked
Practical coat
Nail varnish is not permitted

Optional Items:

Red PE kit bag
Red school back pack
Red school book bag

Boys:

All long hair should be tied back using hair ties as described above.

Jewellery

Pupils may wear an inexpensive watch.
Stud ear-rings only are allowed and these must be able to be removed for all Physical Education lessons.

No other items of jewellery are allowed.

Please ensure that all items are clearly marked with your child’s name.

PE shirts in house colours can be obtained from school after your child has started and been allocated to a house.
