School Uniform Policy

The School Governors have adopted a code of school dress.

ALL SCHOOL UNIFORM NEEDS TO BE LABELLED PLEASE

We believe that a school uniform is important:

It looks smart
Wears well
Contributes to a sense of belonging and community
Gives a common purpose
Makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
Fosters a feeling of pride
Is designed with health and safety in mind

We ask that all children wear the uniform and encourage them to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy dress in school.

The uniform is designed to be practical, maintainable and good value for money.

School uniform

School grey sweatshirt or school grey cardigan with the logo (ONLY)
Gold polo shirt (logo optional)
Grey pinafore dress, grey skirt, with black or grey tights or black or grey
socks and grey school trousers
Sensible BLACK school shoes

PE:

White T-shirt (logo optional)
Black shorts
Black plimsolls or trainers
White socks (no tights to be worn for PE)
A plain tracksuit for outdoor sports

Summer term only: (optional)

Yellow gingham dress – white socks
Grey school shorts
Gold polo shirt
White shoes

(No white or grey knitted cardigans or jumpers)

Book Bags
Reading Record book
PE Bags
Water bottles

For safety reasons we ask that the children do not wear jewellery in school.

EARRINGS:- Earrings are not to be worn in school. If you wish to have your child's ears pierced, this should be done at the start of the summer break so that they are ready for removal upon return in September.

Children with long hair have to have this tied back. Please ensure that all hair accessories are practical for school and are: yellow, white or black only. No hair braiding, extentions or coloured hair is permitted.
